I have a story to share with you.  In the latter part of 1969, a young mother of two boys in Las Cahobas, Haiti, made a hard decision to send her youngest son to live with his father who was currently residing in Brooklyn, New York . The young seven year-old boy lived with his stepmother (his father's new bride) in Port-au-Prince, Haiti until his father had everything in place for them to head to their new home called New York.  Approximately one year later, the young boy finally arrived at JFK airport and would grow up not ever seeing his mother again.  The boy grew into a man, and went on to join the Marines, serving his country during many campaigns (Urgent Fury Grenada; Peace-keeping ops in Beirut Lebanon ; first Gulf war).  Later, he worked for FedEx - all of this without again ever seeing his mother. That young boy was me.  In 2005, my wife and I decided to pull together every resource we had to try to find my mother.  We knew we were in for a very hard task since we did not have any contact information, and didn't even know where to begin.  We turned to God and asked for His help. One early morning in 2006 we received a phone call from a man stating he had my mother next to him, and she wanted to talk to me. On that call, I learned my brother passed away a few years prior, but my mother and my nephew were living in Port-au-Prince, Haiti .  I have decided I must now use our resources to help the people of Haiti in some way, and I am appealing to anyone who can assist me to get this goal accomplished.
